Our mission is to provide affordable, quality healthcare, training and research services by competent and empowered healthcare workers, state of the art equipment and facilities, sustained by sound financial management and systematic operating procedures.

ECSGH Operating Room has opened a new surgical theater to cater to the increasing number of patients.

The Operating Room Department of ECSGH has recently opened an additional theater to satisfy the growing census of surgical patients coming from the northern part of Cebu. The hospital has observed that in recent years, surgical cases has been steadily increasing and in order to meet the demands of the growing patient census, the hospital administrators have decided to add a theater dedicated solely for laparoscopic procedures. The new operating room theater is equipped with high-end apparatus, Storz (Karl Storz Endoskope) laparoscopy tower, Drager (Fabius Plus XL) anesthesia machine, Medica (MOT 601120) operating table and DRE(max luxx LED) operating lights are a few to mention.

This upgrade will definitely rev up the hospital's and the already competent operating room staff's performance. The hospital administrators are hoping that with this recent addition, more and more patients will continue to put their trust in ECSGH for their surgical needs.
OR nurses to adopt a 12-hour working schedule per day.
Oct. 13, 2016
Starting this month, OR nurses will now adopt a 12-hour work day. This means that nurses will now have less on-calls, more days off and safer traveling hours. The OR department is the only department in the hospital that is currently practicing this scheduling scheme. Although still in its experimental stages, staff nurses have good feedback about their new schedules.
ECSGH Operating Room department now preparing for the upcoming ISO 9001:2015 audit.

All hands are on deck in the OR department of ECSGH in preparation for the upcoming ISO 9001:2015 audit next year. The hospital is the first in Cebu to be ISO 9001:2008 certified and is presently working on the requirements for next year's certification. ISO 9001:2015 is for Quality Management Services.
